Sadie is a friendly and energetic husky/shepherd mix. She's playful and fun, and she seems intelligent and attentive. She definitely got her pale blue eyes from the husky side of her family tree. We recommend that Sadie live in a home without small children, because she has a lot of energy. Sadie's adoption fee is $95.

Creamcicle is a darling and happy 8-week-old orange and white tabby kitten. As adorable as he is, he's already been waiting over three weeks to get adopted into a new home. There's a lot of competition for homes during the spring and summer, due to all the unwanted litters being born, so even the cutest kittens get overlooked. His adoption fee during June Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month is only $55, including his neutering and many other extras. And if you adopt Creamcicle and another feline friend, the fee for both is only $65.

This time of year, the weather can be worrisome for our furry friends. High temperatures on some days can cause heat stress if pets don't have adequate shade and water at home. Then the very next day, thunderstorms can frighten pets and cause them to panic and run away. Please be aware of each day's forecast and take precautions to protect your pets. Meet cute Creamcicle and super sweet Sadie at Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South or call 269-7499. And visit our animals online at www.slcoanimalservices.org.
