WSU throwing a bash: Hildegard turns 900
Her actual birthday was in August, but the world has been celebrating all year the 900th birthday of Hildegard of Bingen.
At Weber State University, the party will continue Tuesday, Nov. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Shepherd Union Building, Ballroom A. The public is invited to the free event.Hildegard was a visionary, natural scientist, artist and abbess of the 12th century. Diane Krantz, women's studies coordinator, said Hildegard has special interest to women's studies scholars.
