The former home of composer Aaron Copland will be filled with music once again.

The Copland Heritage Association announced Wednesday that seven composers have won residencies in the six-room home in Cortlandt, an hour's drive from New York."Promising composers will now reside in his house and hopefully write music comparable to Copland's," said Cortlandt Town Supervisor Linda Puglisi.

Copland bought the house on first sight in 1960. It was in disrepair after his 1990 death, and his estate planned to sell it, but the town began a campaign to save it as a cultural institution.
