Free prostate screenings available

Timpanogos Regional Hospital, 750 W. 800 North, will offer a free prostate screening on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Mountain View Hospital, 1000 E. Hwy. 6, Payson, is offering free prostate screenings Wednesday, Nov. 11. Both screenings will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To schedule free screenings at Timpanogos Regional Hospital, call 714-6120. To schedule a free screening at Mountain View Hospital, call 465-7119. Appointments are required and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.Doctors recommend that men over age 50 should have a yearly prostate exam. Men who have a family history of prostate cancer or are of African-American descent should have an annual exam beginning at age 40.
