San Francisco 49ers starting center Chris Dalman will be sidelined three to five weeks after suffering a left knee injury in Sunday's 36-22 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Dalman's injury was originally believed to be minor, although tests later revealed a torn medial collateral ligament. Team doctors will wait until the swelling in the knee goes down later in the week before performing arthroscopic surgery.
