WASHINGTON (AP) The Postal Service said Friday it plans to reissue the Purple Heart stamp at the new 41-cent rate.
The stamp will go on sale in August. It will be the third issue of the stamp, which commemorates the Purple Heart medal, issued to military personnel wounded in combat or to the next of kin of those killed in action.
The stamp was first released in 2003 at the then rate of 37 cents.
