OREM Utah Valley State College will host a dance camp June 11-15.
The $200 five-day camp for dancers in junior high and older will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day in the liberal arts building on campus.
The UVSC dance ensemble Synergy will provide dance instruction in modern dance, jazz, ballet, composition, hip-hop, improvisation, steppin' and African dance methods. Dance conditioning will also be offered.
Participants will work in appropriate skill levels.
"This is a great experience for people interested in dance anyone from beginning to advanced," said Doris Trujillo, UVSC assistant professor in modern dance and dance major adviser.
At the conclusion of the dance camp, dancers will perform in a final showcase.
Participants will need to furnish their own lunch every day and dance attire is required.
For more information, call Amy Markgraf-Jacobson at 801-830-4744 or contact the UVSC dance department at 801-863-8610.
