Dance ensemble at UVSC to present a 5-day camp

OREM — Utah Valley State College will host a dance camp June 11-15.

The $200 five-day camp for dancers in junior high and older will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day in the liberal arts building on campus.

The UVSC dance ensemble Synergy will provide dance instruction in modern dance, jazz, ballet, composition, hip-hop, improvisation, steppin' and African dance methods. Dance conditioning will also be offered.

Participants will work in appropriate skill levels.

"This is a great experience for people interested in dance — anyone from beginning to advanced," said Doris Trujillo, UVSC assistant professor in modern dance and dance major adviser.

At the conclusion of the dance camp, dancers will perform in a final showcase.

Participants will need to furnish their own lunch every day and dance attire is required.
