A shooting outside a Salt Lake home early Wednesday morning has landed a 22-year-old man in jail on charges of attempted murder, aggravated burglary and two counts of aggravated assault.
Police say people were gathering at 854 S. 200 West when the man arrived with another man, both of them carrying handguns.
The men shot "several times" at a man who was on the front porch of the home and hit him once, according to court documents.
The injured man ran into the house, and the two men followed, pointing their guns at people inside and demanding to know where the victim went. Court documents did not elaborate on the victim's injuries.
Police say witnesses identified one gunman, and officers tracked him to another residence and arrested him. He is being held in the Salt Lake County jail on $100,000 bond.
The identity of the other man is unknown, police said.
