SAN ANTONIO — Having already been ejected, Jerry Sloan said he did not see the pitiful display by some sore-loser Jazz fans who littered the EnergySolutions Arena floor with debris following Utah's loss Monday to San Antonio in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals.

But he wasn't exactly defending their sorry and embarrassing behavior, either.

"I would be disappointed in it, regardless," the Jazz coach said. "You know, I was disappointed in our fans using the word 'officials suck' and that sort of thing.

"I think that's still out of place for our league, and it was out of place when we played against (first- and second-round opponents) Houston and Golden State," Sloan added. "I still think that's out of place for basketball — but I can't control that. I just have an opinion."

Not everyone, however, was so down on Jazz fans after Utah fell behind 3-1 in the best-of-seven series that resumes tonight at San Antonio.

"I didn't see them throw anything, so I can't comment about it," power forward Carlos Boozer said.

"I'm very happy with our fans because they've been great," forward Andrei Kirilenko said. "They've been supporting us 'til the end. No matter what happens in the game, they've been cheering for us. And I think Game 3, they won for us."

WILLIAMS ABSENT: Point guard Deron Williams skipped the Jazz's ever-so-brief practice Tuesday — they really didn't do much more than stretch — then skipped out on talking to the media as well.

Williams was said to be undergoing treatment for a mildly sprained right ankle and did not come out of the Jazz's off-limits locker room to face reporters. The injury was sustained in the fourth quarter of Game 4, though he returned to the floor after getting the ankle re-wrapped.

Add the ankle to a long list of ailments for Williams, who nonetheless was deemed "probable" for tonight.

Williams missed practice Sunday and Monday's morning shootaround due to a stomach bug of some sort. He also went to the floor in a heap after getting hit in Game 4, much as he did when taking a Matt Bonner forearm to the upper right shoulder in Game 3.

The Game 3 injury was described as a neck stinger, but after getting hit again in Game 4 he suggested the shoulder/neck pain is nothing new.

"That's been an ongoing problem for me," Williams said after Monday's game. "I just re-aggravated it real quick, and it shot down my arm. I was fine after that."
