Doug Robinson's excellent article (May 27) about local writer, producer and moderator ("referee"), Ken Verdoia, helped me to further appreciate a local treasure. Verdoia is a remarkable individual. I am deeply grateful for his willingness to tackle very difficult assignments. He was chosen by PBS's "The Mormons" producer and writer, Helen Whitney, to be one of her three main consultants for that production. There are very few people with his knowledge and background. Although I do not always agree with the messages of his documentaries, he is very skillful at telling both sides of the story. I salute his efforts.
