The Third Annual People Helping People Garden Tour will be held Saturday, June 9, featuring some of the most beautiful and interesting private gardens in Salt Lake City.

This self-guided tour features 12 gardens in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Horticulture experts will be on hand to offer "sage" advice.

The tour headquarters, located in the parking lot of the Community Legal Center, 205 N. 400 West, opens at 9 a.m. and the gardens close at 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased in advance by calling 583-5300, online at www.phputah.org, or at any Western Garden Center, Cactus and Tropicals or Glover Nursery locations.

Proceeds support the People Helping People Successful Employment program, giving women the knowledge, tools, confidence and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential in the workplace.

Founded in 1993, PHP offers its free Successful Employment program to low-income single mothers and women. Clients participate in a workshop series, mentoring, coaching, job referrals, business clothing referrals, legal aid and more.
