Fritz is a gorgeous 3-year-old German shepherd that is handsome but super-energetic. He's loving and playful but likes to jump up, so he could use some obedience training. This breed is intelligent, so he will learn quickly, and they are very loyal, so they aim to please their owner. His adoption fee is $95.

This lovely 2-year-old cat is Chloe, an affectionate and cuddly tortoiseshell. She loves to be held and handled, and her motor is always going. She solicits attention from everyone who passes her cage, and she can't wait to be adopted into a loving home. Chloe's adoption fee is $65.

Fritz and Chloe would like to remind pet parents that even though it's only spring, it's already too hot to leave animals alone in the car. Outdoor weather may only be in the 70s or 80s, but a car's windows and windshield create a greenhouse effect, trapping heat inside and causing the vehicle's temperature to soar into the 90s or even over 100 degrees. Even minutes in these high temperatures could cause brain damage or death to a beloved pet. Unless you plan to take them with you when you arrive at your destination, please leave them safe at home. Fabulous Fritz and cutest Chloe will be waiting to meet you at Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South, or call 269-7499. And visit our animals online at www.slcoanimalservices.org.
