Hale Centre Theatre has 'Big' plans for '08

Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley City has announced its 2008 season, highlighted by the regional premiere of "Big: The Musical" and HCT's first production of "The Civil War."

• Dec. 31-Feb. 9: Ken Ludwig's farce "Lend Me a Tenor" (the straight comedy, not the musical version premiering at the Utah Shakespearean Festival this summer)

• Feb. 19-April 5: "The Civil War," by Frank Wildhorn and Gregory Boyd

• April 14-May 31: Irving Berlin's "Annie Get Your Gun"

• June 5-July 19: John Patrick's 1950 comedy "The Curious Savage"

• July 29-Sept. 30: "Big: The Musical"

• Oct. 1-Nov. 29: "Into the Woods"

• Dec. 5-23: HCT's 23rd annual production of "A Christmas Carol"
