I'm confused why some opinion makers are upset that the attorney general is putting pressure on Kim Burningham (chairman of the State Board of Education) to implement the voucher law yet aren't the least bit upset about Mr. Burningham's giant conflict of interest involving vouchers.
Not only is Mr. Burningham the chairman of the organization that's charged with implementing the voucher program, but he's also the spokesman for the organization that's doing everything it possibly can to repeal the voucher program!
No man can serve two masters. Mr. Burningham should either step down from the Board of Education or recuse himself from any votes dealing with vouchers.
