OREM Poet, technical writer and Utah Valley State College English professor Scott Hatch will present "The Relationship Between the Technical and Art, or How I Got to the Poem as a Technical Writer" on Tuesday.
Hatch's presentation, at 7 p.m. in Room 116 of the Liberal Arts Building, is for a meeting of the local chapter of the Society for Technical Communication. The public is invited to the event.
Hatch will share his poetry and discuss his career as technical writer. Signature Books published his book-length poetry collection "Mapping the Bones of the World."
He also was editor-in-chief of the engineering journal "Network Professional Journal." His writing has received numerous honors, including the Utah Arts Council poetry prize and the Western Humanities Review poetry prize.
