CEDAR HILLS Wal-Mart made it past another hurdle in Cedar Hills Tuesday night, but the mega-retailer still doesn't have a green light to build in the city.
The Cedar Hills City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to give final site plan approval for a Wal-Mart Supercenter in the city.
The store is intended to be located on the corner of Cedar Hills Drive and Redwood Drive.
The next step for Wal-Mart will be to sign a development agreement with the city that will determine the hours of operation and truck delivery schedule for the approximately 136,000-square-foot store. Whether or not the store will sell alcohol is currently not addressed in the city's draft development agreement
Although past public meetings in the city where Wal-Mart has been discussed have been heated, few residents attended Tuesday's meeting.
The City Council also granted final approval to Wal-Mart's surrounding outlots, where developers say smaller community stores will be housed.
