Two women were charged with multiple counts of of obstructing justice and one charge each of bribery Monday in 3rd District Court.
Court documents say that while working at Global Drug Testing Services, 1482 S. Major St. (50 East), the women accepted methamphetamines in exchange for falsifying urine tests for a woman who had been ordered to avoid drugs as part of her probation.
The woman on probation later told police she had used methamphetamines regularly during her probation, which had been set while she waited to be tried for several criminal charges.
All three of the women involved have been convicted of drug-related crimes.
If convicted of the obstruction charges, which are third-degree felonies, both women charged Monday could face up to five years in jail for each count. If convicted of the bribery charges, which are Class A misdemeanors, each woman could spend a year in jail and pay $2,500 fines.
One of the women has been asked to report to jail and an arrest warrant has been issued for the other.
