Sharpton should keep mouth shut

During a speech at the funeral of a black child who had been accidentally killed by a Jewish driver, he told the crowd, "If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house."

He called Jews "diamond merchants."

He offered his theory of black superiority by saying, "White folks were in caves while we were building empires. ... We taught philosophy, astrology and mathematics before Socrates and those Greek homos."

Then there is the famous Tawana Brawley case, in which Sharpton insisted a 15-year-old black girl had been abducted and raped by a group of white men. It turned out to be a hoax, and Sharpton was found guilty of slandering a public prosecutor. He has never offered an apology or paid the judgment against him.

This is the man Michael Richards apologized to?

This is the man Mexico President Vicente Fox apologized to for saying that Mexicans in the United States do the work that blacks won't?

Sharpton has made a career out of overreaction, divisiveness, double standards and a big mouth. Let's hope he doesn't really speak for most blacks.

Sharpton has repeated the blunders committed by Michael Irvin, Mel Gibson, Jimmy the Greek, Rush Limbaugh, Steve Lyons, Al Campanis, Fuzzy Zoeller, Imus and Richards. The only difference is Sharpton didn't have to answer to Sharpton.
