I am a lifelong subscriber and defender of the Deseret Morning News, having come from two generations of Deseret News employees. And I feel compelled to comment on a recent headline: "Anti-LDS bias running high." A survey study by the Institute for Jewish and Community Research about university faculties and their impression of Latter-day Saints couldn't be less relevant to me. I wouldn't mind seeing it in the paper as interesting trivia, but does it rate a front-page headline?
Mormon bashing is hot news right now. It will probably remain so. But the Deseret Morning News doesn't need to be the leader of the pack of rats.
Thank you for your ear, and pass on my congratulations to your photographers. They offer wonderful and sensitive coverage of our area.
