'Music Man' auditions

OREM — Auditions will be held for the SCERA Shell presentation of "The Music Man," May 23 and 24 in Room B3 of the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 S. State.

All roles are available. Boys and girls ages 8-12 may audition for the roles of Winthrop, Amaryllis and the boys band on Wednesday, May 23, from 6-8 p.m. only. The character of Amaryllis requires a girl who can play the piano. Adults (16 and older) may audition Wednesday from 8-10 p.m. or on Thursday, May 24 from 7-10 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

All those auditioning should prepare to sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song. An accompanist and CD player will be provided.

The show will run Aug. 3-18 at 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, directed by Jerry Elison. Call 225-2569.
