People on both the east side and the west side of Jordan and Granite districts want what's best for all of our children. However, the "attitude" problem mentioned by Craig S. Douglass (Readers' Forum, May 11) does not exist only on one side of the valley. During the heated debate in the Granite School District over the rebuilding of Wasatch Junior High, numerous west-side parents, as well as several west-side school board members, insisted that the insurance money to rebuild the school would be better used on the west side of the district. Don't we all need adequate facilities? I don't necessarily want to take my east-side tax money away from any children, anywhere in the district, but the "attitudes" of those west-side parents and board members left a lasting impression.
