Here are the latest television shows on DVD, scheduled to be in stores on Tuesday.

TV series

"Frasier: The Ninth Season" (CBS/Paramount, 2001-02, four discs, $42.99). This season, Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) celebrates his 2,000th show at the fictional Seattle radio station, and "Frasier" celebrates its 200th episode. And Niles (the hysterical David Hyde Pierce) proposes to Daphne (Jane Leeves).

But the show had lost some steam by now, and there are some weak links (for one, the "Cheers" nostalgia episode with Rhea Perlman, John Ratzenberger and George Wendt).

There are also some very funny episodes, however, and more of an effort to highlight individual cast members. (Guest stars include Anthony LaPaglia, Michael Keaton, Jean Smart, etc.)

Extras: Full frame, 23 episodes

"Wings: The Fourth Season" (CBS/Paramount, 1992-93, four discs, $42.99). This funny show about life at a small Cape Cod airport comes from the "Cheers" team and boasts a funny ensemble cast — especially Tony Shalhoub as an Italian cabbie.

Extras: Full frame, 22 episodes

"Home Improvement: The Complete Sixth Season" (Buena Vista/Touchstone, 1996-97, three discs, $23.99). The Beach Boys pay a visit in this season, "Tool Time" goes on a U.S. Naval ship and Tim (Tim Allen) competes with real-life home-improvement guru Bob Vila. Still funny six years into the show.

Extras: Full frame, 25 episodes, bloopers

"The Last Detective: Series 3" (Acorn, 2005, two discs, $39.99). I hadn't seen this series before, but it's a most entertaining police procedural, with a world-weary London detective nicknamed "Dangerous" (Peter Davison) who solves the show's murder mysteries in spite of an alcoholic boss, a frivolous estranged wife and a goofball roommate.

Extras: Widescreen, four episodes, best biography/booklist/filmographies

"ER: The Complete Seventh Season" (Warner, 2000-01, six discs, $49.98). Abby (Maura Tierney) is reunited with her bipolar mother (Sally Field, who won an Emmy), Dr. Chen (Ming Na) discovers she's pregnant, and Dr. Weaver (Laura Innes) struggles with her sexual orientation.

Extras: Widescreen, 22 episodes, deleted scenes, bloopers
