The honor is the second in three weeks for the Walnut, Calif., native and the third consecutive week that a Cougar has been named as such.

Quiocho hit .600 and stole four bases throughout the week to give her a team-best 15 stolen bases on the year. She also notched a hit and scored a run in every game that week, leading the Cougars to a 4-1 record.

Utah

SOFTBALL: The Utes (24-23-1, 4-11) wrap up regular season play with four games at Ute Field this weekend. First up on Utah's slate is a doubleheader with San Diego State today. First pitch against the Aztecs is set for 2 p.m., with the second game to follow. UNLV then comes to town for a pair of single games on Friday and Saturday. Game times for those two match ups are set for 4 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

GOLF: For the second consecutive season, Dustin Pimm has qualified for the NCAA West Regional Championships. Last season, Pimm tied for fifth at the regional tournament and became the first Ute ever to qualify for the NCAA Championships as an individual.

This year's regional meet will be hosted by Arizona State University at the ASU Karsten Golf Course. The course is 7,057 yards long and a score of 72 is par.

Competition will begin May 17-19. Twenty-seven teams and six individuals qualified for the event. The top 10 teams and top two individuals not on a qualifying team will move on to the NCAA Championships.

WOMEN'S HOOPS: Women's basketball coach Elaine Elliott has announced the signing of Josi McDermott to a national letter-of-intent this afternoon. McDermott is a 5-foot-11 wing from Ashland, Ore.
