LEHI — The Utah Department of Transportation is hosting an open house Thursday to discuss changes to the Jordan River Parkway trail with community members.

UDOT intends to build a tunnel that would allow the trail to cross under Lehi's Main Street, said Phil Huff, UDOT project manager.

The change is an effort to make the crossing safer for bother motorists on the busy road and hikers, he said.

UDOT project team members will be available to answer questions about the construction from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lehi Legacy Center, 123 N. Center.

For more information, contact Scott Hendricks at 801-374-5771 or mail comments to RB&G Engineering at 1435 W. 820 N., Provo, UT 84601.
