In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the National Federation of the Blind, the group will hold a convention at the Davis Conference Center May 11-12.
In attendance will be Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert and Dr. Frederic K. Schroeder, former presidential appointee as commissioner of Rehabilitation Services Administration who will now serve as the group's national representative.
During the convention, the public will be able to learn about the group's newest efforts in Braille literacy for blind and visually impaired children and about the new accessible voting equipment in Utah.
The convention center is located at 1651 N. 700 West, Layton.
