Two of KNRS radio's syndicated talk-radio hosts — Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Glenn Beck — are coming to Salt Lake City later this month.

Schlessinger, who is on AM-570 from 1-4 p.m. weekdays, will host a special dinner/pre-Mother's Day event for her fans on May 11. Listeners can win tickets at www.570KNRS.com.

She will salute Utah's military mothers at the event, broadcast live nationally from the Fort Douglas Post Theater at the University of Utah.

KNRS says that Schlessinger is "Utah's moral adviser," focusing on morals, ethics and values.

Her message of personal responsibility and accountability has become a rallying point for many listeners.

Schlessinger is also a best-selling author, and her show has been recognized with many national radio awards.

She is also heard on the Bob Lonsberry show at 7:50 a.m. weekdays, on what is referred to as her "Dr. Laura Moment" segment.

Meanwhile, Beck, who is heard weekdays on KNRS from 4-7 p.m., will be the keynote speaker at an LDS single adult conference on May 19 in the University of Utah Institute Building. Listeners can register to attend this conference at the KNRS Web site.

KNRS says Beck is casting a tall shadow as the next phenomenon of talk radio.

"Utahns are drawn to this modern-day storyteller who is armed with a quick wit, an informed opinion and a unique ability to inspire others to experience their full potential with an open heart," the KNRS Web site states. "His on-air presence is both commanding and inviting."

Beck became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2000.
