Smallville (7 p.m., Ch., 30): Jimmy imagines he's in 1940 solving a film-noirish murder mystery.

Larry King — 50 Years of Pop Culture (7 and 10 p.m., CNN): This special was supposed to air last week but got bumped by coverage of the shootings at Virginia Tech.

CSI (8 p.m., Ch. 2): Several suspects in a woman's murder belong to a club that believes that shape-shifting, reptile-like aliens have mated with humans as a means of conquering the human race.

Supernatural (8 p.m., Ch. 30): Dean and Sam are transported to a world where their mother didn't die.
