DOUBLE TROUBLE: Game 5 also was the first in the series in which Jazz starting power forward Carlos Boozer did not register a double-double.

Boozer scored a team-high 26 points but had only eight rebounds.

He had 53 doubles-doubles in the regular season, tied with Phoenix point guard Steve Nash for third-most in the NBA behind Minnesota's Kevin Garnett (66) and Orlando's Dwight Howard (60).

DRIP DROP: Williams took 16 shots Monday and hit just four — his worst shooting of the series.

"A lot of them felt good. They just didn't drop, you know?" said Williams, who also had a 27.8-percent night in Game 4, but — buoyed by making 10-of-14 in Game 5 — went into Monday's game hitting 43.8 percent from the field. "That's the way it goes sometimes."

Jazz coach Jerry Sloan was OK with his point's play.

"He struggled a little bit with his shooting, but he does a terrific job trying to get us into what we're trying to do," Sloan said. "For the most part, he was doing a good job of getting the ball to the right guys."

HE SAID IT: Ex-NBA coach Mike Fratello, working Game 5 as a TNT commentator, said this about Fisher, who is at the tail end of his first season in the Jazz offense: "As great a help as he's been, it takes a while for a new player to learn all the intricacies."
