Film Commission names Moore as its new director

Marshall D. Moore, a veteran of the film and TV industry, has been named director of the Utah Film Commission.

Moore came to Utah 14 years ago as location manager on a Stephen King mini-series, "The Stand." In 1994, he moved to Sandy, then worked eight years with "Touched by an Angel" and four months on "Everwood." Moore joined the film commission three years ago as producer services executive.

His career includes stints as supervising location manager, location manager and location scout. His experience includes work for Warner Bros., CBS, Leucadia Film Corp., ABC, Hollywood Pictures, HBO, MGM, Universal TV, Showtime TV, New World Pictures and Cannon Films.
