The U.S. Forest Service is accepting applications for its Adopt-A-Trail program for the Uinta National Forest for 2007 summer season.
Volunteers who would like to adopt a trail are expected to trim branches, pull weeds, remove tripping hazards and pick up litter. Large hazards should be reported to the Forest Service.
The Adopt-A-Trail program was established between the Forest Service and volunteers who are interested in preserving and protecting forest trails.
For more information on adopting a trail, call the Adopt-A-Trail program manager at 435-623-0952 or go to the Uinta National Forest volunteer Web site at www.fs.fed.us/r4/uinta.
