The Utah Department of Transportation is holding a public hearing Tuesday to talk about a study of improvements to state Route 68, or 500 South and Redwood Road, in Davis County.

UDOT is proposing to widen the road to five lanes and improve rail crossings with Union Pacific, the Utah Transit Authority's FrontRunner commuter rail and the Denver & Rio Grande rail lines. Public comment will be used to help UDOT determine if widening is the best option for the road.

The meeting will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Woods Cross Elementary, 745 W. 1100 South, in Woods Cross.
