"I kind of thought that," said Beck. "When that pick happened, I wasn't bothered by it because I think it would have been negative pressure on both (Andy Reid) and I."

Beck said he'd thought early second round all along. "There was some talk of me going in the first round and Miami tried in the first round with a trade, but they got me anyway."
