Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. is hitting the road this weekend to campaign for his choice for president, Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Huntsman is scheduled to join McCain in Nevada and Arizona on Saturday as part of the GOP senator's five-state announcement tour to officially kick off his White House bid that began Wednesday in New Hampshire.

In Nevada, McCain will deliver a morning speech in front of the Elko County Courthouse. He'll then head home to Arizona for an evening campaign rally at Tempe City Hall. Utah is not part of the senator's latest push for votes.

But McCain did visit Utah in March, where supporters said he raised $160,000. Huntsman appeared with McCain at two press events, including one held outside the Governor's Mansion, and accompanied him to a rally in Arizona.

Most Utahns are backing Mitt Romney for president, according to recent polls. Romney, who led the 2002 Winter Olympics and served as governor of Massachusetts, is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Huntsman's father, Jon Huntsman Sr., is a finance chairman for the Romney campaign. But the governor has said he prefers McCain's experience, especially when it comes to foreign policy.
