IKEA is urging Utahns interested in working at its new Draper store to submit applications by Tuesday to accommodate the company's hiring and training process.
The Draper IKEA is scheduled to open May 23. IKEA employees must complete a two-week program that provides on-the-job training and an orientation of IKEA's work culture and shopping experience. The company provides full medical/dental insurance to employees working 20 hours or more per week, with eligibility for domestic partners and children. Employees working less than 20 hours are eligible for medical and dental insurance, too. Other benefits include vacation, paid maternity/paternity leave and paid time off for child adoption, tuition assistance, 401(k) match, professional development, training and mentoring programs and a discount on IKEA purchases.

The Draper IKEA, located off I-15 and Bangerter Highway, is the company's first store in the Intermountain West and its 30th in the United States.
