Summary

OREM — The SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre will hold auditions for its summer musical, "Kiss Me Kate," Tuesday and Wednesday, May 1 and 2, from 7-10 p.m. at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 S. State.

Auditions are for those 16 and older. Come prepared to present a Shakespearean sonnet and sing 16 measures of a jazz standard. An accompanist will be provided. All roles are open. Dancers and vocalists are needed. A dance audition will be held for those who are invited to callbacks on May 5.

"Kiss Me Kate" will be directed by Chris Clark, with Jeremy Showgren, musical director. "Kiss Me Kate," will run July 6-21 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Call 225-2569 for more information.

PAYSON — Auditions for Payson Community Theater's production of "Scarlet Pimpernel" will be held Thursday and Friday, May 10 and 11 from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Peteetneet Academy, 10 S. 600 East, Payson. The show will be directed by Mike Carrasco and play Aug. 23-25, 30, 31 and Sept. 1 and 3. Call 369-3474 for more information.
