FILLMORE Two people were killed when their SUV rolled on I-15 about two miles north of here.
The Utah Highway Patrol said it appears the 15-year-old driver of a 2002 GMC Yukon fell asleep at the wheel at about 7:45 a.m. Friday. The car drifted into the median, the driver overcorrected and the vehicle rolled, troopers said.
Two passengers, identified as 42-year-old Michael Pack and 7-year-old Katelyn Coffman, were killed in the crash. An 11-year-old boy was ejected from the vehicle and was flown to a Salt Lake City hospital in critical condition. A 40-year-old woman was partially ejected and also flown to a Salt Lake City hospital in serious condition. The 15-year-old driver was hospitalized with minor injuries. Troopers said some of the people were not wearing seat belts. The UHP said all of the people in the car were from West Virginia.
