• Red Butte Garden, 300 Wakara Way, is sponsoring a water-wise landscaping workshop Saturday, 10 a.m. Regular garden admission applies; members get in free. No registration is required. For more information, call 585-0556 or log on to www.redbuttegarden.org.

• The American West Heritage Center, Wellsville, is holding its annual Seed and Perennial Swap on Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Visitors are invited to come anytime during the swap to bring leftover seeds, divided perennials, volunteer plants or starts or any other extra plant material to trade with others. There will also be free exotic bean seeds and plants for the children. The event is a throwback to pioneer times, when local residents would get together to trade seeds and swap flowers and vegetable plants. The center is located on U.S. 89-91, just south of Logan. The event is free and open to the public.

• Thanksgiving Point is sponsoring a Garden Expo April 28, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Participants have their choice of 17 classes on different gardening subjects. Cost is $5 per class. For more information or to register, log on to www.thanksgivingpoint.com or call 768-2300.
