RESERVE SPOTS EARLY
Utah State Parks and Recreation is preparing for a busy summer season. In fact, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Green River, Escalante and Goblin Valley are already booked for Memorial Day Weekend.
Park reservation policy allows campers to reserve individual campsites up to 18 weeks prior to their date of departure from the park.
For reservations call 1-800-322-3770 from outside the Salt Lake area or 801-322-3770 from within the Salt Lake area.
The Utah State Parks Reservation Center can also book group sites, pavilions and boat slips. Agents may also recommend locations for golf tournaments, corporate outings and family reunions.
Individual campsite reservations must be made at least two days in advance of arrival date. An $8 nonrefundable reservation fee is charged for each site reserved. Group site reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance. A $10.25 nonrefundable fee, along with a per/person fee, is charged for group sites and building rentals.

OPEN HOUSE SCHEDULED
The Wing Flying II Open House will held at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The open house will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the opening of the education center. This is also the time of the year when the shorebird migration peaks at the refuge.
Activities include art displays, videos and presentations by refuge staff and educators.
To reach the refuge take Exit 363 off I-15 at Brigham City and go west one block.
WILDLIFE BOARD OPENINGS
Three openings are available on the Utah Wildlife Board. The board sets hunting and fishing rules that govern wildlife management in Utah.
Applications accepted through May 4. Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. will appoint the new members to six-year terms.
Potential board members must represent a wildlife constituency group. No more than two board members may come from any one of the state's five regions.
Board members attend 10 to 12 wildlife board meetings each year in Salt Lake City. They are also encouraged to attend monthly Wildlife Regional Advisory Council meetings in their regions.
