PROVO — A Kearns man who police say hit his ex-wife and threw her cell phone against the wall when she tried to call 911 is in jail for investigation of aggravated assault.

The woman reported to police that on April 10 her ex-husband, 30, allegedly forced her into her American Fork bedroom, in a home near 400 N. 300 West.
