The public is invited to a debate at the University of Utah over the question "Is God necessary for ethics?"
The debate is tonight from 7 to 9 in Orson Spencer Hall Auditorium.
Mark Hausam, an elder at Christ Presbyterian Church in Salt Lake City and a philosophy instructor at Utah Valley State College, says God is necessary for a person to be ethical.
David Keller, director of UVSC's Center for the Study of Ethics, will argue God is not necessary for ethics.
After the debate between Hausam and Keller, the audience will be invited to join the discussion.
