PROVO A man who baby-sat a young girl is in jail on allegations that he sexually abused her in her home.
The Provo man was arrested Tuesday after the 4-year-old victim reported to her parents, then police, that the 29-year-old man had touched her genital area with his hands several times in the past few months, according to a police report filed in 4th District Court.
The man was paid to baby-sit the child while the mother worked, according to the report. The abuse allegedly occurred in the child's bedroom and on the couch.
The man, who does not have a driver's license or a Social Security card, was booked into the Utah County Jail on investigation of aggravated sex abuse of a child, according to the police report.
His bail was set at $50,000 cash or bond bail.
