The Ogden Nature Center is offering a series of summer camps. Sessions are taught by teachers/naturalists who have backgrounds in natural history and science.
Each camp is full of age-appropriate activities that connect young people with nature.
Expeditions in Nature camps will be June 4-8 for ages 6 to 8 and June 11-15 for ages 9 to 12. Cost is $135 for members, $150 for nonmembers.
The Backstage with Mother Nature camps are July 9-13 for ages 6 to 8 and July 16-20 for ages 9 to 12. Cost is $135 member, $150 nonmember.
The Elementary Elements, the earth, wind, water and fire camps are for preschool students ages 3 to 5. Sessions are June 18-22, June 25-29 and July 30 to Aug. 3. Cost is $65 for members, $85 for nonmembers.

EARTH DAY EVENT
The Ogden Nature Center will hold its annual Earth Day Celebration April 21 from noon to 4 p.m.
Earth Day is a day of education, celebration and action. Admission is just $1 per person and free to those who ride the bus, bike or walk.
Festivities include more than 30 Earth-friendly exhibitors, rock climbing wall, exhibits of birds of prey and other native wildlife, kids crafts, guided nature walks and gardening exhibits.

ICE CENTER CLASSES
The County Ice Center is offering registration for two events.
The first is the Start Smart learn to play hockey program. The program runs on Monday and Thursday evenings. Cost is $50.
It is also taking registration for the Beginning Adult Hockey Clinic. No experience is required. The clinic covers basic hockey.

OHV CENTER TO OPEN
The Jordan River Off-Highway-Vehicle Center will open for the summer on April 21. The new track will be open Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The old track will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information call 801-533-5425.
