Today, KUER FM90 and the University of Utah's Hinckley Institute of Politics will host the last of three meet-the-candidates forums as Salt Lake City prepares to narrow its field of 10 would-be mayors to two.
The forum will feature House Minority Leader Ralph Becker, D-Salt Lake, and Salt Lake City Councilman Dave Buhler.
Two similar forums have been held in the past month, the first with County Councilwoman Jenny Wilson and former City Councilman Keith Christensen, and the second with former state Democratic Party chairwoman Meghan Holbrook and City Councilwoman Nancy Saxton.
Four declared candidates Centro Civico Mexicano director John Renteria, schoolteacher Robert Comstock, surgeon J.P. Hughes and Arnold Matthew Jones have not been scheduled for a forum at the U.
The forum today will run from 11 a.m. to noon in the Hinckley Caucus Room, Orson Spencer Hall, Room 255. It will also be broadcast on KUER's "Radio West" program.
