Southern Utah University department of art and design will feature painter and draftsman Jeffrey Abt in this week's Art Insights presentation. The lecture will be Thursday evening at 7 in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building, Room 101. Abt will discuss his work and career in the arts. The event is free and open to the public.

SouthwestArt magazine's April edition has a four-page article on local painter Doug Braithwaite. Containing six images of his paintings, the article is filled with quotes by the artist, which include his philosophy of painting and technique.

The Sandy Arts Guild and Jordan School District will exhibit its annual Sandy City Elementary School Art Show at the South Towne Center April 3-10. More than 500 pieces of art will be on display.
