Both later acquiesced reluctantly to a compromise of one minute.
After the two question each other, the debate will likely be opened for questions from the moderator, the audience or both. No time frame for that portion of the debate was settled.
A few issues remain to be worked out. No moderator has been selected for the debate. U. professor and professional pollster Dan Jones was tapped Wednesday to help planners find someone to fill the job.
Prices for tickets also have yet to be nailed down. Hannity's plan for the winner's charity receiving money is based on plans for ticket sales.
There was also some discussion of splitting the proceeds among both charities Hannity is debating for Primary Children's Hospital and Anderson for the Guadalupe Schools regardless of the debate's "winner," with some money also going to help cover ASUU's costs in hosting the event.
But Anderson's spokesman Patrick Thronson later said that call never happened because Hannity's representatives could not be reached. The Deseret Morning News was also unable to reach them for comment Wednesday evening.
