Following a winless road campaign in 2005, Real Salt Lake finally earned its first road victory at the L.A. Galaxy in convincing fashion, 3-0. That victory just so happened to be RSL's first victory in 2006 as well, halting a miserable 0-5-1 start.

In front of 20,027 fans, Jeff Cunningham converted two unforgettable penalty kicks in stoppage team as RSL rallied for a 2-1 victory over league-leading D.C. United. It kick-started a four-game winning streak that helped RSL climb back into the playoff chase.
