I am dismayed by your editorial in Monday's paper calling for mandatory seat-belt laws and helmet use. Why must common sense be legislated?
The proper role of government is to make the information about brain injuries available so that the responsible parties can make informed decisions for themselves and their families.
The battle against more government intervention in our lives is difficult enough without also having to fight against a newspaper that is supposed to be conservative.
