Frank is a funny and fuzzy little Jack Russell terrier mix. He's 3-years-old, and he's playful and friendly. He bonds quickly with new people, and he's not quite as hyper as most members of his breed. Frank is a charming little dog who can't wait to meet you. His adoption fee is $95.
Frank and Penguin would also like to remind families that with Easter approaching, it's important to make humane decisions about what goes in the children's baskets. Animal Services strongly discourages parents from giving children any kind of live baby animal as a gift. Bunnies, chicks and ducklings are often purchased on impulse as novelties this time of year, and sadly, few have happy endings. Many of these tiny fragile animals are injured or killed by excited children, and others are abandoned in fields or ponds after the novelty has worn off. Chocolate and stuffed animals are a much kinder alternative. And if you are ready to commit 8-10 years to a pet rabbit, please give a second chance to one of the dozens of homeless bunnies waiting in shelters and rabbit rescue groups. Fabulous Frank and precious Penguin will be waiting for your visit at Salt Lake County Animal Services, 511 W. 3900 South, or call 269-7499.
