BASEBALL: Utah's baseball team will play host to Utah Valley State today at 2 p.m. at Ute Field.

The Utes (9-15, 2-1) are coming off a road series win at New Mexico over the weekend. After facing the Wolverines, Utah has a three-game set against UNLV this weekend at Franklin Covey Field.

Utah senior Jay Brossman was named MWC player of the week Monday after going 9-for-18 last week in four games.

UTAH VOLLEYBALL: Three University of Utah volleyball players have been named to the U.S. Women's National Volleyball A2 program in late spring as setter Sydney Anderson, outside hitter Airial Salvo and middle blocker Emillie Toone all earned spots on the 20-member team.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Danny Reeder was named NAIA all-American honorable mention for his efforts during his junior year. Reeder averaged 13.1 points and 4.3 assists.

UVSC/USU

SOFTBALL: Today's home doubleheader between Utah Valley State and Utah State has been rescheduled for April 17 at 2 p.m.

SUU/BYU

SOFTBALL: Southern Utah (12-18) and BYU (16-14) will play a doubleheader Wednesday in Cedar City. The games begin at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

MEN'S TENNIS: In the first of four matches this week, the No. 66 BYU men's tennis team beat No. 61 Stanford in Palo Alto Monday, 5-2.

WOMEN'S SOCCER: The BYU Cougars won against the defending Big 12 soccer champions, Texas A&M 1-0 in their second spring season matchup. All-MWC First Team member Katie Larkin scored the only goal of the night. Forwards Carolyn Swenson and Alyssa Vander Veur assisted on the game-winning goal.

MEN'S GOLF: After getting rained out early in the afternoon, the No. 14 BYU men' golf team is tied for sixth place with a five-over-par 293 at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Monday.
