A hilarious spoof of soap operas, which only garnered a cult following when it was originally on TV, finally arrives on home video, leading off this list of new-to-DVD television programs, arriving in stories on Tuesday.

TV series

"Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" (Sony, 1974-75, three discs, $29.95). Louise Lasser has the title role in this low-key satire, which skewers daytime soaps as Mary and her friends and relatives suffer a nonstop barrage of personal crises. It's not as raucous as the later "Soap," but just as wacky and outrageous — and adult.

Mary Kay Place plays Loretta, Mary's best friend, a would-be country singer, and other familiar faces show up as the show tackles everything from mass murder to sexual dysfunction to the ever-present waxy yellow buildup on Mary's linoleum floors.

Extras: Full frame, 25 episodes

"Whose Line Is It Anyway? The Original British Series: The Complete Seasons 1 & 2 Uncut & Uncensored" (A&E, 1988-90, four discs, $49.95). This is the original version of the show that was remade by Drew Carey and friends, and in the earliest stages it seems a bit tentative. But once it gets going, this is every bit as funny as the Americanized version. And some of the same people participate. Clive Anderson hosts, and you'll recognize Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops, along with character actors Jonathan Pryce and Stephen Fry.

Extras: Full frame, featurette

"Touched by an Angel: The Fourth Season, Volume 1" (CBS/Paramount, 1997, four discs, $42.99). Roma Downey, Della Reese and John Dye play angels who inspire people to do the right thing in this half-season of the show that was filmed in Salt Lake City and environs.

Extras: Full frame, 13 episodes

"The Jeffersons: The Complete Sixth Season" (Sony, 1979-80, three discs, $29.95). Mike Evans returns to the show as Lionel, now married and expecting a baby with his wife Jenny (Berlinda Tolbert). But it's still Isabel Sanford and Sherman Hemsley who garner the biggest laughs.

Extras: Full frame, 24 episodes

"7th Heaven: The Fourth Season" (CBS/Paramount, 1999-2000, six discs, $54.99). The family-friendly show about a minister (Stephen Collins), his wife (Catherine Hicks) and their seven children continues to charm.

Extras: Full frame, 22 episodes
